RECIPE: sweet quinoa porridge (Syn free)

This is the perfect breakfast for when you want something warm but want to keep your healthy extra B for later in the day.

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

2 tbs uncooked quinoa

500ml water

6 tsp sweetner

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla flavouring

1/4 tsp ginger

100 ml milk (I use almond)

  1. Add the quinoa to the water in a saucepan, bring to boil then leave to simmer for 10 mins
  2. Add cinnamon, vanilla, ginger and sweetner
  3. Once most of the water has been absorbed, add the milk and simmer until it reaches the consistency you like
  4. Top with topping of choice, I like chopped fruit, quark and Walden farms syrup

  
You can also add grated courgette and carrot in to up your speed (you can’t taste it), I add it at the same time as the sweetner.
