Making chicken nuggets

I’m not one of the mums who doesn’t let her child eat sweets or unhealthy foods but as I’m someone who has always struggled with their weight, I do watch what I give him and try and get the balance right.

Oliver loves chicken nuggets so I thought I would have a go at making them myself, they were a huge hit and I will define be making them again!


1 chicken breast fillet chopped into bite size pieces

2 slices of wholemeal bread, made into bread crumbs (chuck them in the food processor or blender)

Fry light or oil spray

1 egg beaten

  1. Dip the chicken pieces into the egg 
  2. Then Dip them in the breadcrumbs and put on an oiled (or fry lighted) tray 
  3. Bake on 200 for 20-25 mins (until chicken is cooked through)

I served Olivers with home made oven baked chips and baked beans
