RECIPE: paprika chicken jumbalaya (1 Syn per serving)


5 Heck paprika chicken sausages (0.25 Syns each)

1 diced onion

1 diced red pepper

1/2 diced yellow pepper

1 chicken oxo cube

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbs tomato purée

1 tsp coriander

1 tsp garlic

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cumin

1 cup of rice (I used brown)


  1. Cut the sausages into bite size pieces and brown in the pan. Add the pepper and the onion and cook till softened
  2. Add the rice, 500 ml of water AMD EVERYTHING ELSE! 
  3. Leave to simmer, stirring occasionally for 25-30 minutes or until everything is cooker.

I served this with thinly sliced courgette sprayed with fry light and baked for 15 mins. It looks a bit of a mess but it tasted like it had way more than only 1 Syn in, I will definitely be making it again
