RECIPE: tomato and Lentil Soup



1 carton of Pasata

1 onion, chopped

2 carrots, diced

1 cup of red lentils

1 vegetable stock cube

2 tsp mixed herbs

1 tsp ground garlic

800ml of water

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce


  1. add the onions and garlic to a large saucepan. cook on a medium heat on a few minutes until onions are softened
  2. add the water, stock cube, lentils, carrots, pasata, herbs and Worcestershire sauce, put the lid on the saucepan and leave to gently simmer on a low heat.

You can serve like this but i (and oliver!) prefer to blend it up so its smooth
